Boat Safety, Compliance & Onboard Inventory

Everything aboard that has a deadline printed on it, and everything you will need to find quickly at three in the morning. Safety equipment expiry registers, spares and tools inventories, and medical kit contents logs.

Every boat carries the same quiet uncertainty: a locker of equipment bought at different times, with expiry dates in small type on things nobody has looked at since they were stowed, and a spare that exists only if you can find it. These registers order equipment by expiry date rather than by locker, and stores by location rather than by category, because that is how you actually search for them.

These documents record what you carry and when it expires. They do not define what your vessel is required to carry — that depends on your flag state, your waters and your activity, and your maritime authority publishes it. The medical kit register records contents and dates only: no dosage, no indication, no recommendation on what the kit should contain.
